Alan DeMont has been living in St. Albans for ten years, where he keeps his studio and garden. He is an active member in the St. Albans Artists Guild
Born in Detroit Michigan and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa. he has also lived in Colorado, Seattle Washington, San Francisco and Los Angeles. He first started painting in high school and hasn’t stopped since. (except for a nearly twenty year period in the eighties and nineties)
Frequently portraits of Native Americans, artists and musicians in oil and acrylic were early subjects. Lately Alan has been using plaster in his art to add texture and depth.
Some of Alan’s work is in private collections in the U.S., Russia, Poland, Bulgaria, Belarus, Czech Republic and South Africa
